I have never been much of an environmentalist. And what's up with those fear tactics that they from the i-love-planet-earth camp use to get us to think that the world is coming to an end very soon if we don't stop reducing emissions/eating/sleeping/breathing? Relax lah.

So I was pleased to see this article on the bbc and I quote from it:
To state that climate change will be "catastrophic" hides a cascade of value-laden assumptions which do not emerge from empirical or theoretical science.

My mother has a strange way of orchestrating things. Over skype:
mummy: you want to talk to kevinboy?
me: er.. no need lah
mummy: (in background) kevinboy!! che-che wants to talk to you!
(whispers to me) eh tell him to study, exam coming you know!!
i talk to a reluctant brother for approximately 30 seconds and end with a mandatory study hard ah!
later on in the background,
mummy: so fast ah boy! what did che-che say to you?

hur. anyway just an update: i have been exercising alot of self control these days, even cheh kuan says so! and i actually feel quite accomplished and happy that i am being a good thrifty girl.
